Fear

Written by Jocelyn

Growl! Growl! Growl! Panting out of breath, Danny was running as fast as lightning, desperate for food and safety. Danny was an adventurous, strong-willed and cunning creature who found interest in all most anything: except from his black-hearted enemy who was always lurking about, dragging danger, despair and misfortune to everything across its path…

Danny had small eyes which shone in the moonlight. His paws were muddy and his claws were torn and scratched from running around as he was willing for safety from the daunting monster. His fur on his tail stood on end as beads of cold sweat formed on his head.

Danger crept over him as cold arms hugged round him like a suffocating blanket. There was a shade of eeriness as he felt like his heart was skipping a beat. His spine chilled as his blood turned cold. The trees round him stood still and strong like castle walls. The branches looked like spindly witch-like fingers. The lingering, damp cold mist surrounded the woods acting like they didn’t what anything to go in or out.

The sky looked very unusual, for the stars weren’t out although it was very late in the night. There was something also very unusual, Danny couldn’t tell if he was dreaming or not but he saw a wicked face in the sky; and on the wicked face was a wicked smirk and two treacherous black beady eyes staring down at him as he stood still, trembling with fear. It felt as though when Danny looked to long into the eyes he could see his own death.

To his despair, the face looked familiar. There was no doubt about it, it was the face of his enemy – his black-hearted enemy...…..
