Words that mean it

Written by Grace

Preface

I've recently written a collection of poems and I would like it if you would post them on the website. They come in a sort of. . . Book, so you can keep them together. The 'collection' is called: Words that mean it.

Why?

Why can’t I not be useless?

Why can't I be bothered?

Why can't I be a rebel?

Why can’t I be a friend?

Why can’t I act normal?

Why can’t I just be who I feel like. The person who wants to take the knife out of the drawer. . .

End it.

Sorry

One sorry.

Two sorrys.

One sorry more.

If sorry was a word.

I’d say it again.

Once more.

Gone

Friends.

There, gone

Left again

The people you prayed

That would never go

But are then gone.

‘Friends’ is not a word

Then again, it’s not a thing

It’s non - existent

To nobody but the people

Who lost it more than once.

No

They beg and I say no.

No .

Makes you forget.

No.

I said it. I mean it.

No.

That doesn’t mean I want it.

No.

No, just no.

Just one haiku

This is a haiku

Just to add more effect

I don’t know, not now.

I feel the same feelings. I feel all those poems were already written in my head before you put them on the page. I could say, you took the words right out of my head. Thank you for the beautiful poems

Hey, Arya, are you the Arya who wrote "No Name" on the German website? I just wanted to ask... Greetings, Matti

Nice poems!

The first poem is so me. And also someone I made up so I can have a friend. His name is Zacharias and he doesn’t know who he is

Oola – 30 June 2020

These poems are incredible and hauntingly beautiful. I can sense a budding Emily Dickinson!

This collection is beautiful and moreover, honest and heartfelt. I hope you are having a wonderful day — this set is quite sad, which makes it all the more alluring
